Meet Andria Fusco, School No. 4 Counselor
My name is Andria Fusco and I am so happy to be a member of the School No. 4 family.  I have a strong passion for nurturing children's growth and development in the formative years of children's lives, and knew at a very young age I wanted to be an educator.  I graduated from Seton Hall University with a BS in Elementary Education and BA in Psychology. I then went on to work as elementary education teacher in Jersey City and Little Falls for over 7 years. While teaching, I attended graduate school at Kean University and received my Master's Degree in Counselor Education. I began my career as a school counselor in Fort Lee. I worked at School No. 2 for two years and made my way up to Fort Lee High School for the last 5 years.  I believe in setting a good example through instilling character education and promoting positive attitudes in schools and throughout the community.  In addition, I hold a Director of School Counseling Services Certificate and practice as a private Licensed Professional Counselor, working with individuals ranging from school-aged children, teens, adults, and the elderly.  As school counselor, I assumed many roles and have experience with behavioral interventions, testing, coping skills, academic counseling, college counseling, transition counseling, group/individual therapy, and Intervention and Referral Services, (I&RS).
Working in Fort Lee is home to me. It holds a very special place in my heart, because I am married to a fellow Fort Lee Educator and we recently had our first child.  I am very excited to be part of School No. 4  and look forward to spending many influential years as your school counselor!

2016-2017 Teacher of the Year!

Myung Jin Chung
It is a big honor for me to have been chosen as the School #4 Teacher of the Year 2016-2017.

I would like to share this award with all my colleagues and administrators who have supported and encouraged me during my career as a Korean bilingual teacher.  Having personally experienced the challenging and often frustrating journey of learning English as a second language and understanding American social norms, it has been a life goal for me to aid others during their periods of transition.

From the moment I started teaching Korean bilingual students in 2001 in Fort Lee, every class posed the daunting challenge of how to not only teach the required curriculum, but also how to enable students to tackle the underlying doubts and insecurities that come with starting a new life in a different environment.  The last 15 years have not been without its fair share of tears and late night calls with parents, but the privilege of witnessing children blossom from timid newcomers to confident young adults has always been and always will be my most humbling life moments.

However, I would be remiss if I did not give credit to my tremendously supportive colleagues who have fought for me and provided a deep well of encouragement when I needed it the most.  I would also like to acknowledge the parents for entrusting me with their children – I cannot express how important the teamwork that we’ve developed is.

Thank you again for this great honor, I am truly blessed to be a member of a great Fort Lee school family.

2016-2017 Educational Services Professional of the Year!

Stephanie Borgono
My Name is Stephanie Borgono and I am the Social Worker for Schools #3 and #4.

My life’s passion was to help others who were struggling with a disability or dealing with trauma. In turn, I decided to pursue a career, which involved this passion in Social Work.

Currently, I’m working with children who have special needs. Seeing how these children flourish, year after year, is the most rewarding to my colleagues and myself.

It is an honor to be selected the recipient of 2016-2017 educational services professional of the year.
